RTV-4110 Platinum-Cure Silicone Rubber – Shore 10A

Professional Mold-Making Silicone | 2 KG (4.41 lb) Kit | 1:1 Mix Ratio

$89.99

Create professional-quality silicone molds with RTV-4110 platinum-cure silicone rubber, a soft, flexible, low-viscosity material designed for excellent detail reproduction and easy demolding.

With a Shore A hardness of 10, a simple 1:1 mixing ratio by weight, and an approximate 4-hour room-temperature cure, RTV-4110 is an excellent choice for mold makers, chocolatiers, bakers, soap makers, and creative professionals.

Its translucent appearance, excellent flow, and low shrinkage make it particularly suitable for detailed molds and delicate castings.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Shore 10A – Soft & Flexible: Produces flexible molds that make releasing intricate or delicate castings easier.

  • Easy 1:1 Mixing: Simply combine equal weights of Part A and Part B.

  • 35-Minute Working Time: Provides time to mix, degas, and pour before curing begins.

  • Approximately 4-Hour Cure: Cures at room temperature under recommended conditions.

  • Exceptional Detail Reproduction: Captures fine textures, intricate shapes, and surface details.

  • Low Shrinkage (≤0.1%): Helps preserve the dimensions and details of your original master.

  • High Heat Resistance: Manufacturer-rated up to 482°F (250°C) for cured silicone.

  • Translucent & Customizable: Compatible silicone pigments can be used to create custom colors.

  • Food-Contact Testing Documentation: Manufacturer-provided SGS testing reports passing results for FDA 21 CFR §177.2600 total extractives on a referenced silicone sample.

Recommended Applications

RTV-4110 is designed for producing soft, flexible molds used in:

  • Chocolate, candy, and confectionery making

  • Cakes, mousse desserts, and decorative food molds

  • Soap and candle making

  • Resin and compatible craft casting applications

  • Intricate decorative models and detailed castings

Its low hardness makes RTV-4110 particularly well suited to simple, one-piece molds and designs requiring easy demolding.

Simple Mixing & Pouring Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare Your Master

Ensure the master model, tools, and mold box are clean, dry, and free of contaminants that could interfere with curing.

Step 2 – Measure Equal Parts

Using a digital scale, measure equal weights of Part A and Part B (1:1 by weight).

Step 3 – Mix Thoroughly

Combine both components and mix carefully, scraping the sides and bottom of the container.

Step 4 – Remove Air Bubbles

Vacuum degassing is recommended when needed to minimize trapped air and improve mold quality.

Step 5 – Pour

Slowly pour the silicone into the lowest point of the mold box, allowing it to flow naturally around the master.

Step 6 – Allow to Cure

Allow approximately 4 hours at room temperature (77°F / 25°C) before demolding.

Important Processing Information

Platinum-cure silicone is sensitive to certain contaminants that may interfere with curing.

Potential cure inhibitors include sulfur-containing materials, tin-cure silicone, amines, and some epoxy or UV resin materials.

For best results, use clean equipment, follow the recommended processing conditions, and perform a small compatibility test when working with unfamiliar materials.

Food-Contact Testing & Compliance Documentation

Minghuilink's SGS Test Report NGBHL25007444301, dated November 17, 2025, documents passing results for total-extractives testing under U.S. FDA 21 CFR §177.2600.

The tested sample is identified as model 4140, and RTV-4110 appears in the manufacturer's reference model list. The report does not establish that RTV-4110 was independently tested.

Food-contact suitability for the finished mold depends on the formulation, correct mixing, complete curing, and intended conditions of use.

Note: FDA compliance testing does not constitute FDA approval or certification of an individual product.
